Businessman arrested for fraud
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – A St Catherine businessman is to appear in the Half Way Tree Resident Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, December 17 after being arrested and charged for fraud.
Thirty-seven-year-old Vivian Williams from Old Harbour Bay in the parish is accused of failing to deliver goods on a contracted date. Allegations are that Williams received US$16,000.00 to purchase auto parts on a client’s behalf. The parts were allegedly not delivered by the agreed date, and when no refund was forthcoming, a report was made to the Fraud Squad.
Williams is currently on J$200,000 bail.
