Correctional officer on ganja charge
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A correctional officer was on Friday arrested and charged for breaches of the Dangerous Drug Act.
In custody is45-year-old Gary Senior, staff officer of Chelsea Avenue, St Catherine.
Reports are that about 6:25 pm, Senior reported for duty at the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre when he was seen with two bags. During a routine search, one of the bags was found to contain four parcels of ganja. The police were summoned and Senior was subsequently arrested and charged for illegal possession of ganja.
He is scheduled to appear in the Half-Way-Tree Resident Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, September 29.
