Delinquent drinker lands in court over unpaid bar tab
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A man was on Tuesday sentenced to 40 hours of community service after failing to pay his $2,700 bar tab last month.
Forty-seven-year-old Wesley Knight was sentenced after pleaded guilty in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court to a charge of obtaining credit by fraud.
Knight reportedly went to a bar on Red Hills Road, St Andrew on the night of July 28 where he drunk $2,700 worth of alcohol.
The police was later called in after Knight was unable to pay his tab. He was subsequently arrested and charged.
