NCB to relocate Falmouth branch to Champion Plaza
TRELAWNY, Jamaica — National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited (NCB) will relocate its Falmouth branch to Champion Plaza on July 6 as the financial institution seeks to improve customer access, parking and service efficiency in the growing Trelawny market.
The branch will move to Shop B2, Champion Plaza, 63A Market Street, approximately 10 minutes from its current location, according to the bank.
NCB said the relocation comes as both Falmouth and the bank’s customer base have outgrown the existing facility, which has operated from its current site for many years.
“As our customers’ needs continue to evolve, so too must the spaces in which we serve them,” said Andrew Walters, service quality manager at NCB’s Falmouth branch. “The move to Champion Plaza allows us to provide a more accessible, comfortable and secure environment, with the amenities and layout needed to support faster, more efficient service.”
Walters said the current branch is located on a designated heritage site, limiting the upgrades that can be made to modernise the facility and improve customer flow.
“Our current branch sits on a designated heritage site, which speaks to Falmouth’s status as one of the best-preserved Georgian towns in the Western Hemisphere,” he said. “While that is something we value, it limits the upgrades needed to modernise the space and improve customer flow, so relocating is the most practical way for us to deliver a better experience.”
The bank said the new location will provide improved parking, enhanced security, upgraded infrastructure and more accessible facilities, addressing long-standing limitations at the existing branch.
NCB said the investment reflects its efforts to support growing demand in Trelawny, which has emerged as a major centre for tourism, commerce and investment.
The bank operates 27 branches and more than 300 automated banking machines across Jamaica and said it continues to invest in both physical and digital infrastructure to meet changing customer needs.
