Education Ministry regrets passing of Jamaica College student
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Ministry of Education, Youth and Information says it is saddened by the sudden death of 14-year-old Jamaica College student Jordan Miller.
The second-form student reportedly died at his home on Sunday morning.
Minister of Education, Youth and Information, Senator Ruel Reid has since extended condolences to the relatives, school family, and friends of Jordan.
The ministry said senior teachers assigned to Jamaica College have visited with the family at the home of the student to provide support. Also, the Education Ministry’s trauma response team and Grief Counselling Unit will be on campus to provide guidance to the Jamaica College family when school reopens on September 5.
