Elderly woman found wandering in St James

ST JAMES, Jamaica — The police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the relatives of an elderly woman who was found wandering in Reading, Anchovy in St James about 3:00 am today. 

She gave her name as Ionie Beckford or ‘Ionie Lindo’ and is believed to be in her late seventies. 

The constabulary’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) said she is of dark complexion, medium build and was dressed in a red hat, floral dress and a pair of black shoes.

Anyone who is able to assist the police in reuniting Ionie Beckford or Ionie Lindo with her family is being asked to contact the Anchovy police at 956-4100, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
