Fatal bike crash in St Elizabeth
MANDEVILLE, Manchester — The St Elizabeth police, following a fatal accident on Sunday, are making an appeal for residents in the parish to desist from engaging in bike races without the proper safety precautions.
Dead is Keneil Robinson of Good Hope District.
Reports are that Robinson was a competitor in an “illegal” bike race at Myersville in South East St Elizabeth after 5:00 pm.
He reportedly collided with another biker while doing stunts.
The other biker, David DaCosta, of a Burnt Ground address is reportedly in critical condition at the Kingston Public Hospital.
“We are always on the lookout but they (competitors) tend to elude us. We are appealing to the people of St Elizabeth, particularly in the Southern belt to desist from holding these illegal bike races. It is something that the police (are) really against,” a police source said.
