Hanna to address Charlemont High peace march
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Students and teachers from the Charlemont High School in St Catherine have taken to the streets in a peace march to say, “enough is enough” in relation to the rising incidents of violence in the society.
Friends of the institution including neighbouring school McGrath High, parents and residents of the community are supporting the school.
The march, which started at the school was organised following the brutal slaying of the school’s mathematics teacher Tanijah Howell who was found dead in St Ann in February.
The march will culminate with a talk at the Linstead bus park where first speaker Lisa Hanna, who is the Member of Parliament for South East St Ann, will make an address.
