Hanover couple murdered
HANOVER, Jamaica –The Hanover Police are currently processing the scene where the bodies of a bus driver and his wife were discovered early this morning in the Mosquito Cove district of the parish, about three miles from their home.
The deceased have been identified as 56-year-old Balford ‘Fire Bird’ Gordon and Annette Brown Gordon, both of Eglin Town.
Reports are that sometime last night the driver his wife and another man who washes motor vehicles were at the house in Elgin Town when they were abducted by gunmen.
It is understood that the gunmen placed all three in Gordon’s Toyota Coaster bus and drove them to Mosquito Cove where they were shot.
However, the ‘washer man’ managed to escape and was picked up by a motorist on the Point main road who took him to hospital.
The bus was later reportedly driven by the gunmen back to the home of deceased couple and parked.
The police were later alerted.
