Honduran dies after motorcycle crashes into cow
BELMOPAN, Belize (CMC) – Police are investigating the death of a Honduran national after the motorcycle he was riding crashed into a cow.
The authorities said that Raul Rodas, 24, died at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) on Sunday, following the accident on Saturday night.
One eyewitness told police that the motorcyclist had just passed him on the road that leads to the Aguacate Lagoon when the accident occurred. He said he too had a close encounter with the black cow on the road.
Police said that Rodas, who lived in the village of Duck Run in the Cayo District, was taken to the Western Regional Hospital before being transported to the KHMH where he succumbed to his injuries.
