Illegal gun seized in Mountain View

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police in east Kingston are reporting the seizure of an illegal firearm during an operation on Friday.

Reports are that about 3:33 pm, lawmen were operating on Hilldene Avenue, Mountain View, when an open lot was searched and a Ruger mini 14 rifle was found with an empty magazine.

No one was arrested in connection with the find.
