Jamaican delegation to meet with coffee importers in Japan
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica Agricultural Society (JAS) President Senator Norman Grant and a four-man delegation are scheduled to leave the island later today to meet with importers of Jamaican coffee in Japan.
Grant made the announcement this morning during a press conference at the JAS office on Church Street in downtown Kingston.
During the two-week visit, Grant and his delegation are expected to attend a special coffee show organised by the Coffee Association of Japan.
The other members of the delegation are Jason Sharp, director of Coffee Traders and chairman of Jamaica Coffee Exporters Association; Jeffery Hall, director of Mavis Bank Coffee; Mark McIntosh, CEO of Wallenford Coffee Company; and Steve Robinson, acting director general of the Coffee Industry Board.
