ST ANDREW, Jamaica — A man is now in police custody after a firearm was yesterday found at his home in Papine, St Andrew.
The police have, however, not released the man’s name, stating instead that it is being withheld pending further investigations.
Reports from the Papine police are that between 10:00 pm and 11:00 pm, officers searched the premises and found a Bersa Thunder 9mm pistol with a magazine containing three rounds of ammunition.
The lawmen also reportedly seized an additional 10 rounds of ammunition.
The man was subsequently arrested, the police say.
