Mandeville Art Fair opens today
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — The annual Mandeville Art Fair opens this evening at 6:00pm with exhibits mounted in the new auditorium of the St John Bosco Home for Boys at Hatfield, just west of this south central town.
Organisers say several institutions will benefit from proceeds of the fair including St JohnBosco Boys Home, Saint Vincent Strambi Catholic School in St Elizabeth, The Catholic College of Mandeville and the Julia Lyn Scholarship Fund.
The fair including a craft exhibition, workshops and interactions between artists and students will continue through Friday and Saturday.
“The Art Fair has grown tremendously throughout the years, and is now one of the largest art exhibitions, featuring many of our finest local artists such as Albert Huie, Susan Alexander, George Rodney and Barrington Watson,” a release from organisers said.
