Nurses return to normal duties tomorrow

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Nurses in the public sector today agreed to end their sick-out and are slated to return to work at 7:00 am tomorrow.

The decision was reached after an emergency meeting with the Nurses’ Association of Jamaica (NAJ), the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service and the Ministry of Health.

The move ends two days of Government nurses staying off the job in protest over what they say is the delay in them receiving retroactive monies from the reclassification of the health sector.
