Oral Heaven new president of St Ann Chamber
ST ANN, Jamaica — The St Ann Chamber of Commerce now has a new president — Sagicor Ocho Rios branch manager Oral Heaven.
The 37-year-old, who took office on Thursday, July 18, said he would be working with recently elected officers of the Chamber to continue to build on the successes of the past administration.
He said he also intends to continue to work with the tourism minister “to get Ocho Rios back to being the number one cruise ship pier in Jamaica.”
The new president said he would also like to see growth the St Ann Chamber with more people seeing the significance of the body.
“The perception that some have of the Chamber being a social club. We want to remove it in total,” he said.
“My plan is to grow the Chamber,” he stated.
He said the Chamber will continue to lobby to get the town of Ocho Rios to a very high standard.
Heaven served as a director for only one year.
