Police detain man after mother of seven chopped to death in Guyana
GEORGETOWN, Guyana (CMC) – Police have detained one man for questioning as investigations continue into the brutal murder of 50-year-old Kamini Etwaroo, a mother of seven on Monday night.
Police said that the incident occurred at a house in Berbice where the woman is reported to have been brutally attacked and chopped to death by her common-law husband, a cane cutter.
Police said that the man was drenched in blood when he was held for questioning.
Neighbours said the woman and the man were frequently involved in fights and quarrels and they had previously appeared before the courts.
