Port Maria Health Centre closed to facilitate relocation
PORTLAND, Jamaica – The North-East Regional Health Authority today advised that in its effort to enhance service delivery and ensure the continued safety of its clients and staff, effective today, the Port Maria Health Centre will be temporarily closed for three weeks to facilitate relocation of the services offered.
During this period, services offered at the Child Health Clinic, that is, children 0-5 years with appointments to see the Nurse, will be done at the Port Maria Dental Clinic beginning Tuesday, 2015 August 18. Additionally, services offered at the ante-natal clinic re-commences Thursday, 2015 August 20, at the Port Maria Dental Clinic.
Emergency cases will be seen at either the Port Maria or Annotto Bay Hospitals. All other clients are being asked to visit the nearest Health Centres at Oracabessa, Islington or Highgate to access health care services.
