Robber shot dead on Omara Road

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A man was killed yesterday afternoon when he and a colleague attempted a robbery on Omara Road, Kingston 10.

According to community members the two men tried to rob a man who turned out to be licenced firearm holder.

They were caught by surprise when the victim turned his gun on them shooting one of the robbers multiple times.

Eyewitnesses said that his colleague escaped unharmed.

The name of the deceased has not been released by the police.

In the meantime residents have complained that robberies have become more frequent in the community, even during the day.
