Rushon Hamilton to know fate today
THE ex-cop convicted of killing 14-year-old Jhaneel Goulbourne will find out today if he’s sentenced to prison for life or whether he gets the death penalty.
Rushon Hamilton was convicted of murder on October 25 this year after a month-long trial.
The prosecution had indicated that it would be seeking the death penalty for Hamilton, who is alleged to have had a sexual relationship with the victim.
Goulbourne was abducted from her home in Harbour View, St Andrew in 2008 and has not been seen since.
Her abduction followed the filing of a complaint that led to Hamilton being charged with carnal abuse.
