Second Canadian in Trelawny crash dies
TRELAWNY, Jamaica — A second Canadian tourist has died as a result of a collision along the Salt Marsh main road in Trelawny today that claimed the life of another Canadian tourist, who was driving.
The second Canadian died in hospital after being rushed from the scene where a motorcar reportedly drifted into the path of an oncoming motorbus. Both vehicles reportedly veered off the roadway on impact.
The driver of the motorcar died on the spot and the remaining occupants, who are also tourists, were taken to hospital.
This is the second such incident on this roadway since the start of the week.
On Monday, a man died in a three-vehicle crash and eight people, including a tourist, were hospitalised.
