Section of East Kings House Road closed
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The section of East Kings House Road, St Andrew, between Paddington Terrace and Barbican Drive has been closed due to a collapsed trench.
The National Works Agency (NWA) on Saturday advised motorists wishing to enter Barbican Square from the direction of Hope Road to detour onto Paddington Terrace, then onto Liguanea Drive, then onto Barbican Road.
Motorists wishing to access lower East Kings House Road from the directions of Barbican Square are to use Barbican Drive, Salisbury Avenue, Liguanea Avenue, and Paddington Terrace, the NWA also said.
“The National Works Agency has engaged the National Water Commission whose work along Halifax Drive has resulted in the road failure,” NWA’s Communication Manager Stephen Shaw said. “The Agency will advise the public as soon as the affected section of the corridor is able to accommodate the motoring public.”
