Three men wanted for murder arrested in Manchester
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Superintendent of the Manchester Police Division Melvin Brown this morning confirmed that three men wanted for murder are now in police custody in the parish.
They were reportedly picked up during an operation in the Mandeville police area on Monday and are set to face an identification parade.
On Monday a stolen 1997 Toyota Sprinter, a 2000 Toyota Corolla, a quantity of car parts believed to be used in altering stolen motor vehicles, appliances, army garments, fake identification cards and jewellery were also found at various locations in Mandeville.
Brown said that investigations are underway to ascertain if a Nissan Tiida also in police custody was stolen.
He added that a man was also arrested for break-in during the operation.
Break-ins have been on the increase in the parish and the Manchester police have continued their appeal to citizens to be more alert.
“Listen to the police and take the tips seriously,” Brown urged residents.
