Two held in Trelawny with illegal firearms
FALMOUTH, Jamaica — The police are reporting that two men were arrested in Falmouth, Trelawny over the weekend after police seized loaded guns in two separate incidents.
In the first incident, officers witnessed a man placing an object on a stall and walking away in the early hours of Saturday. Upon investigation, the lawmen discovered that the object was a 9mm Ruger pistol with a magazine containing five 9mm rounds.
The man was taken into custody.
In the second incident, police took a man into custody in Hague Settlement, Falmouth after responding to calls of loud explosions early Sunday.
He was searched and the police found a Ruger 9mm pistol with a magazine containing nine 9mm rounds of ammunition.
The names of the men are being withheld pending further investigations.
