Two men killed in Hanover
HANOVER, Jamaica – Two people have been killed in separate incidents in Hanover, in what is believed to be the first set of murders since the start of 2017.
The two have been identified as 39-year-old taxi operator Bruce Brown of a Kew district in the parish, and Tedford Grizzled, 39, of New Town district in Sandy Bay, also in Hanover.
In the first incident, reports are that about 2:30 am, motorists saw Brown’s body lying on the main road between Johnson Town and Kew and alerted the police.
The police say Brown had what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to the left side of his face. His black motor car is reportedly missing.
A few hours later, at about 5:00 am, New Town residents heard several loud explosions.
Residents stumbled upon Grizzle’s body about 7:15 am and called the police.
He was found lying on his back in a pool of blood with wounds to his upper body.
