Would-be car thief shot dead in St Thomas

ST THOMAS, Jamaica — A man was shot dead early this morning by a licensed firearm holder in an alleged attempt to steal a motor vehicle.

The incident took place about 3:40 am in Yallahs, St Thomas, according to the police.

It is said that three men went to carry out the act, when two of them were shot. One later succumbed. The third man fled the scene.

The police’s Corporate Communication Unit (CCU) was unable to confirm the identity of the deceased or provide further details.
