WEDCO promises computers for Unity Primary
IN their long-term bid to help provide quality education for students of the parish, the Westmoreland Environs Development Company (WEDCO) has promised to donate five computers to the Unity Primary School in the parish.
“WEDCO is of the view that in this age of globalisation students can, through computers, learn globally while studying locally,” said the company’s immediate past president, Senator Fredrick Hamatty.
He said the computers cost $120,000 and will be donated to the school during the course of this month. The Senator made the disclosure at an official re-opening launch of the school year at the Unity Primary School in Westmoreland.
