High standard for The Jamaica Observer/Grace Valentine’s Competition
All good things come to those who wait rings true with finally the announcement of the winners of this year’s Grace, Kennedy/Jamaica Observer Valentine Menu Competition. We sifted through many applicants until we were down to 11. The standard was very high, even higher than last year’s. It took the judges Dr Heather Littlewhite, Maise Miller and yours truly, Novia McDonald-Whyte, much deliberation to determine just who the winner would be.
The standard was so high we even had to add a fourth place winner, Belinda McLeod.
The winners were feted last week Wednesday, at the Grace, Kennedy head office at Harbour Street and then it was off to Television Jamaica’s studios for the taping of the Grace Kitchens television programme.
Here, our winners, certainly reduced with confidence.
The food industry here in Jamaica is in good hands with our winners — educated, young and cooking up a storm.
