Rent board has new address
The Rent Assessment Board has a new home.
It has been relocated from offices at 64 Duke Street in downtown Kingston to 3rd Floor North, The Towers, 25 Dominica Drive, in New Kingston.
The move is part of the ministry of water and housing’s rationalisation and restructuring drive, which has been ongoing for the past three years.
The ministry aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its operations, hence, the effort to house all agencies with the housing portfolio under the same roof.
This programme will be implemented in phases, the first being the relocation of the Rent Assessment Board to the Towers. The second phase, which will be implemented soon, will see the removal of the housing branch of the ministry from its current location at 2 Hagley Park Road, to the Towers on Dominica Drive. The entire relocation process is expected to be completed by the end of January 2004.
Until a new PBX system is installed, the temporary telephone number for the Rent Assessment Board is 906-1765. When the transfer is completed, other numbers will be made available.
Further information and updates will be provided on an ongoing basis.
