Trinidadian company wins text book contract
THE Jamaican Government has again awarded the contract for the printing of textbooks for primary schools to an overseas firm.
This time it has gone to the Trinidadian firm, Eniath’s Printing Services Ltd, which beat out the Gleaner Company and Von Hoffmann Corporation, the United States Company which printed the books for the 2003/2004 school year.
Eniath’s bid price of $48 million was the lowest of the three pre-qualified firms. The Gleaner’s bid price was $57,699,948, while Von Hoffmann submitted a bid for $62,697,897.
