New JTB appointments, transfers
THE Jamaica Tourist Board has appointed two sales managers, both promotions from within the organisation, and has made a number of personnel shifts.
Additionally, the Board’s headquarters in the United States has moved to the Waterford at Blue Lagoon, adjacent to the Miami International Airport.
Gregory Shervington, formerly marketing representative for the mid-Atlantic region, was promoted to district sales manager for the southwestern and western states and will be based in Dallas, Texas.
Marcia Sinclair, formerly sales relations manager in the South Florida office, is now responsible for the northeast and will be based in New York.
Karlene Shakes, formerly administrator in the Florida office, has been promoted to sales relations manager.
Additional changes in the Board’s operation include the transfer of district sales manager Glen Bucknor to Chicago to oversee the midwest; John Woolcock, marketing representative, has been sent to Boston and is now responsible for the New England states; and Victoria Harper, marketing representative, will be based in the mid-Atlantic region with responsibility for the states of Washington DC, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia and West Virginia.
