So proud of you!
The Hanover Homecoming Foundation (HHF) on Saturday presented 14 of its most deserving sons and daughters with prestigious plaques of achievement at its annual Bird of Paradise Awards and Gala at the Fiesta group’s Grand Palladium Resort and Spa in Hanover.
Former Prime Minister PJ Patterson took top honours for the evening which brought the curtains down on a week of celebration of the achievements of the parish, Jamaica’s smallest.
The occasion was also used to launch the Sir Kenneth Hall scholarship which will see the winner – who must be a native of Hanover who has resided in the parish for five years as at the date of application, getting $250,000 per year for three years to pursue a degree programme at the University of the West Indies.
Applicants will be required to submit their birth certificates, exam results, three referees, a medical certificate, three passport-sized photos and a signed 500-word statement stating their objectives in pursuing the particular course of study.
