It must be serious… Britney Spears fires her boyfriend as her agent
Getting serious: Spears and Jason Trawick at their first and only redcarpet event as a couple at the Grammy Awards earlier this year

It must be serious… Britney Spears fires her boyfriend as her agent

There’s a well known saying — never mix business with pleasure.

So after working together and dating for nearly two years, Britney Spears has decided to end her professional relationship with agent boyfriend Jason Trawick for the sake of their personal one. After representing the 28-year-old singer for several years, Trawick, 38, will go on to work with other artists at the highly successful William Morris Agency. In a statement, Spears’ representative said: “Britney Spears and her long-time agent, Jason Trawick, have decided to end their professional relationship and focus on their personal relationship.”

Currently recording her seventh studio album, Spears took time away from the studio to bring her two sons Sean Preston, four, and Jayden James, three, to a karate class in Los Angeles on Tuesday. Although Trawick has represented Spears for many years, the couple were first romantically linked two years ago. Trawick joined Spears and her father Jamie on holiday at Mel Gibson’s Costa Rican hideaway in May 2008. But it wasn’t for another year, when they were photographed together in the Caribbean, that the couple started dating properly.

Trawick has already got the seal of approval from Spears’ protective parents Jamie and Lynne, and has a good relationship with the singer’s young sons. Spears’ relationship with Trawick has gone at a much slower pace than her previous serious relationship with ex-husband Kevin Federline. The singer and Federline got engaged just two months after they started dating, before marrying in September 2004. However, after giving birth to sons Sean in September 2005 and Jayden in September 2006, Spears filed for divorce from Federline when their youngest son was just seven weeks old.

Fall from grace for Rihanna as she tumbles over on stage during London show

She’s long been top of the pops, but Rihanna was brought back down to earth with a thud during a performance at London’s O2 Arena this week.

The 22-year-old, who is in the throes of her Last Girl On Earth world tour, fell over in front of the huge crowd as she sang her track Te Amo on Monday night. The slip-up came as she strutted down a set of stairs while wearing a perilously high pair of boots. But ever the professional, she barely missed a beat and continued on with the show without a fuss, despite the humiliation. The Bajan star enjoyed an evening off Wednesday night, swapping sky-scraper heels and raunchy costumes for more comfortable attire for dinner at London’s Cipriani restaurant. She teamed her black sneakers with an 80s-inspired outfit for the low-key occasion.

Eminem, Jay-Z teaming up for pair of Sept. shows

What could be better than New York’s own Jay-Z playing the first concert at the new Yankee Stadium? How about fellow rap superstar Eminem alongside him?

The two titans of the hip-hop world attended Wednesday night’s New York-Detroit game at Comerica Park to announce they’d be playing at the Yankees’ ballpark on Sept. 13. Eleven days before that, though, Jay-Z will be back in the Motor City to play with Eminem at the latter’s hometown ballpark, Comerica. They made the announcement during appearances on several television broadcasts of Wednesday night’s game. Jay-Z, whose recent New York-centric anthem, Empire State of Mind, was a big hit, performed the song before Game 2 of the World Series at Yankee Stadium.
