Turning 40 is a big deal for anyone, but when you’re Naomi Campbell you’d expect that one would pull out all the stops.

And that’s exactly what happened Saturday last when the supermodel’s billionaire boyfriend Vladimir Doronin threw her a sensational party on the French Riviera. A delivery of 40 white roses, most likely from the Russian tycoon himself given it was also a celebration of their one-year anniversary, added an element of romance to the proceedings.

The glamorous and star-studded affair, held at the Eden Roc Hotel, was attended by the great and the well-groomed, including Top Shop boss Philip Green and his daughter Chloe. Fellow model Eva Herzigova turned up looking every inch the starlet in a thigh-skimming pale pink dress with silver stripes. Despite her actual birthday falling on Saturday, Naomi has been partying on the Riviera for the past week at the Cannes Film Festival.

On Friday the supermodel was joined by Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony in St Tropez and celebrated by spraying vintage champagne over them. Earlier in the week, Naomi was living the high life aboard the Benetti built Silver Angel — a spacious 65metre-long boat, which can accommodate up to 12 guests within its seven en suite, roomy cabins.

The Dirrty singer shed her clothes for the raunchy photo shoot, wearing nothing but thigh-high Christian Louboutin boots and Gasper gloves for the June cover.

It’s not the first time Aguilera has posed for the magazine though; in 2006 she was photographed in provocative lingerie by a pool for the British version of GQ and in nothing more than a strategically placed sheet for the American version in the same year.

And after making her comeback with the explicit music video Not Myself Tonight, the 29-year-old is revealing more than ever to combat pop competition from the likes of Lady GaGa. The mother of one has said that her sexuality has been heightened after having her son Max, now two, and she’s more confident and comfortable in her own skin than ever. Describing herself as a ‘very sexual person’, the star is obviously not going to tone down her image as she gets older, but we’re sure her male fan base won’t be complaining.
