Alanis Morissette marries rapper boyfriend in secret

after whirlwind romance

Alanis Morissette has married her boyfriend of just seven months.

The Canadian-born singer tied the knot with rapper Souleye — real name Mario Treadway — in an intimate ceremony. The wedding took place on May 22 at their Los Angeles home, her spokesperson confirmed. Morissette, 36, began dating Souleye, 30, in October last year. She was previously engaged to actor Ryan Reynolds, but they announced their split in February 2007.

Following the break-up from Reynolds, who is now married to Scarlett Johansson, she dated environmental lawyer Tom Ballanco. Morissette also dated Full House star Dave Coulier in the early 1990s, and her angst-ridden hit You Oughta Know was rumoured to be inspired by the split.

The singer, who is known for hits such as Ironic and Hand In My Pocket, has previously spoken about her troubled childhood and tangled love life. She revealed how she suffered from anorexia and bulimia nervosa between the ages of 14 and 18, and claims it was sparked by “hardcore” professional pressure and managerial demands when she was making her first album.

She also confessed to having dated a 29-year-old man when she was just 14 and that she tried marijuana. “I smoked pot once in a while, but I’m too much of a control freak to be a drug person,” she said.

Gary Coleman’s wife accused of colluding in plan to sell deathbed photos

Gary Coleman’s ex-wife has been accused of colluding in plans to sell deathbed photos of the former child star.

The pictures show Coleman attached to monitors and a ventilation machine in the hospital where he died. One of the four images was taken after life support was removed and he had passed away.

The production company who filmed an interview with Shannon Price the day after Coleman’s death reportedly took them.

One picture is even said to show Price, 25, posing at his bedside. A US tabloid has purchased the photos for an amount in the low five figures. Website TMZ alleged yesterday that Price will profit financially from the sale. The site declined to buy the photos when offered them by a source. TMZ says: “We’ve seen one of the photos and declined to even look at the rest. It is not a pleasant sight.”

Bored with designer frocks? Sarah Jessica Parker dresses down in sneakers and jeans

For the past few weeks Sarah Jessica Parker has experienced the Hollywood dream.

She has worn a series of designer frocks on the red carpet for Sex And The City 2 premieres. But it seems that even the most dedicated fashion lover can get bored with dressing up.

The 45-yearold dressed down in jeans and Converse pumps as she headed back to New York following the Japanese premiere. It’s an outfit that you’d be unlikely to see being worn by her much-loved character Carrie Bradshaw. Sarah Jessica’s casual outfit couldn’t have been more different to the one she modelled in Tokyo. There she dazzled in a floral multi-tiered Vivienne Westwood creation. But perhaps the strain of being away from her three children and husband Matthew Broderick was showing. Add to that the negative reviews of her latest film and she could be in need of a few days off.
