THE management of the Real Mona Football Club will today reopen the Buttercup Park football field and use the occasion to organise a celebrity football match to honour former stalwart Gerry Murray’s contribution to the development of the club since its formation in August 1966.

The game will kick off at 3:30 pm, and Gerry Murray is expected to represent both teams to be managed by Stewart Stephenson.

Team I is expected to include Michael Boothe, Marshall Ogle, Peter Prendergast, Peter Moses, Chris Dennie, Hylton Cobran, Richard Murray, Clyde Jureidini, Clive ‘Busy’ Campbell, Chris Dehring, Courtney Walsh, William Watson, Ralston Hyman, Glen Hines and Neo Oxford.

Team II is expected to comprise Andrew Price, Howie McIntosh, Lennox Robinson, Ian Bond, Wendell Smith, Patrick ‘Polly’ Nunes, Paul Pringle, Carlton ‘Spanner’ Dennis, Gregory ‘Peggo’ Reid, Randolph Small, Neil Gordon-Martin, Audley Gordon, Ian Gage, Allie McNab, and Amal Knight.

All players are asked to take white shorts and white socks for the game, as jerseys will be provided.
