Dear Editor,

Congratulations to Minister of Finance Audley Shaw and his team for working so hard to allow Jamaica to pass the second IMF test.

Despite the negative outlook that resulted from the unrest that rocked sections of the country late May and early June, and also the global crisis, this passing grade from the IMF is showing us that Jamaica is on the road to recovery, and we only have to continue to give God thanks for taking us this far out of the woods.

The country has seen growth in many areas such as agriculture, health and education and we can see a bright light ahead.

We should set aside a day as a religious day where all citizens could worship, fast and pray for forgiveness. Some people find it hard to forgive so this would be necessary for the healing of the nation. We should try to put behind us the ills of both administrations and move ahead. May God bless and keep Jamaica, land we love.
