Dj Kurt Riley produces Beres Hammond track
JAMAICA’S party disc jock Kurt Riley, aka “The Party Animal”, has put his skills into producing again, this time in a track that he is expecting the lovers rock world to embrace.
He has now completed the tune My Kind Of Girl by the ever-fresh Beres Hammond, which is scheduled to be released on his father’s label Techniques Records.
For the track, Kurt teamed up with talented engineer Barry O’Hare to mix the track for a production that’s complete with live instruments arranged by a competent team of experienced musicians.
Barry O’Hare has been producing and mixing hits since the mid 1990s. He mixed the Burning Spear album the won best reggae album at the 42 Grammy Awards in 2000, Calling Rastafari and has worked with some of Jamaica’s finest including Shaggy, Sean Paul, Maxi Priest and Diana King.
My Kind Of Girl was co-produced by Michael Fletcher who plays bass in Shaggy’s band. He also played for Maxi Priest, Shabba Ranks, Heather Headley and Beres Hammond. The other musicians who worked on the track include Kevon “Webbo” Webster on keyboards, who also plays in Shaggy’s band: Monty from the C-sharp Band on guitar, and Kirk Bennett on drums. He too plays for Beres Hammond, Toots, Vegas, Busy Signal, Maxi Priest to name a few.
