Women in control at Studio 38
Tonight, some of Jamaica’s most interesting women take control of Studio 38 at the Pulse Centre Trafalgar Road, in no uncertain manner. They will be spinning hits from their music catalogue for the dancing pleasure of the Studio Thirtyeighters and their groups of fans. And they do have many friends. This particular group includes Millicent Lynch, Trisha Thompson, songbird Ashley Martin, Carole Beckford and the wine ambassador Marilyn Bennett. This Kingston quintet, called the divas, will go head on against Montego Bay’s sole representative Janet Silvera.
Each of these ladies have their own appeal and are by no means music novices. The good times are certain to roll. Part proceeds will go to the Kiwanis Club of St Andrew.
