Rihanna’s Loud Lights

Bajan-beauty-turned-global superstar Rihanna — whose new album Loud is set for a November 16 release — brought some early Christmas cheer to thousands of visitors to Westfield Shopping centre in London Thursday last by officially switching on the Christmas lights.

Westfield marked this glamorous occasion by staging a dazzling display of pyrotechnics. Rihanna was surrounded by a beautiful set of roses and was joined on stage by children from Help, a London-based child charity.

Rihanna said: “I just so love London, it’s so great to be here today. I flew in especially for this event so I won’t be out partying tonight as I’ll be heading out soon.”

“What made you decide to dye your hair red?” asked host Georg Lamb, to which the 22-year-old singer replied, “I’ve been pondering with the idea for at least two years and I just decided to go through with it.”
