Woman held for forgery
MONTEGO BAY, St James — A Mt Salem woman who used forged papers to bail someone on gun-related charges was on Monday offered bail when she was brought to the Montego Bay Resident Magistrates Court.
Forty-three-year-old Pauline Lindo who operates a shop at the Charles Gordon Market has been charged with uttering forged documents and making a false declaration.
The court heard she went to the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate’s Court offices on December 8 and tendered documents to procure the bail of someone facing the Western Regional Gun Court.
The documents were later found to be forgeries and she was arrested and charged.
She was offered bail in the sum of $250,000 with surety and is to report to the Mt Salem police three times a week.
The case will be mentioned on January 18.
