Claro/KSAFA Super League leaders Cavalier will start the second round four points clear of second-placed August Town when they take on UWI at Constant Spring, as the return games kick-off this afternoon.

In other matches, August Town tackle Duhaney Park at UWI Bowl, Santos travel to Barbican, Rae Town play away to bottom-of-the-table Real Mona, Mountain View entertain Constant Spring at Excelsior High school and Rockfort host Bull Bay in the east-Kingston derby.

All matches start at 3:00 pm.

After 11 matches, Cavalier lead the standings with 27 points, ahead of August Town with 23, Rockfort 19 and Santos and Rae Town with 18.

However, in the teams’ first meeting, the defending champions Cavalier had to come from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw with the newly promoted UWI.

UWI are 10 points off the pace, but the Neville ‘Bertis’ Bell-coached side are well organised and can provide an upset, but the champions will be more aware of their opponents this time around and should take three points.

August Town have managed to stay in touch with the leaders and they should at least maintain their four-point gap when they face struggling Duhaney Park at home.

Meanwhile, Rockfort are expected to get the better of rivals Bull Bay, who are languishing in the lower half of the table on 10 points.

Santos will find it difficult to take maximum points away to Barbican, but Rae Town should take full points at the expense of cellar-dwellers Real Mona with five points.

Tenth-placed Mountain View and 11th-placed Constant Spring, who are both tied on nine points with Duhaney Park, will meet in a match that can go either way.

In the Major League competition, leaders Greenwich Town play away to Seaview at Seaview field, Olympic Gardens take on Central Kingston at Cling Cling Oval, Molynes host Police, Stony Hill play Cooreville at Golden Spring and Brown’s Town meet Shortwood at Vauxhall high school, all starting at 3:00 pm.

Greenwich lead the league after six rounds with 12 points, followed by Allman/Woodford and Olympic Gardens with 10 each, then Seaview with nine, Police with eight and Cooreville Gardens and Central Kingston on seven.
