Lost in Jamaica: Scarlett Johansson heads on holiday to escape divorce drama
A day after announcing the end of her two-year marriage to Ryan Reynolds, a tense-looking Scarlett Johansson was spotted in Jamaica on Thursday with a group of friends.
The 26-year-old allegedly initiated the split from Ryan, 34, after the stress of being apart all the time became too much for her to take.
And now it looks as if she is escaping the divorce drama by laying low on the Caribbean island to regroup and and get some support from her pals.
Wearing a white fedora, blue shorts and a grey tank top over a yellow bikini, the actress looked sombre and subdued as she carried a copy of Vanity Fair with Johnny Depp on the cover.
Scarlett and Ryan released a statement on Wednesday saying: ‘After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we’ve decided to end our marriage.
‘We entered our relationship with love and it’s with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn’t expected, it’s certainly appreciated.’

Simon Cowell jets to Barbados with ex Sinitta… but fiancée stays at home
She recently insisted they were still very much an item in the wake of persistent rumours they had split. But in another apparent blow to their relationship, Simon Cowell has jetted off on holiday to Barbados — without his fiancée Mezhgan Hussainy. Instead, the music mogul has brought along ex-girlfriend Sinitta for company, who he is still famously friendly with. Mezhgan, 37, meanwhile, is believed to be staying at the millionaire’s London mansion. She joined Cowell at the weekend for the X Factor finals, with Sinitta, 42, and another one of his exes Terri Seymour, 36, also seen at the show’s London studios. Last month make-up artist Mezhgan spoke out to deny reports they had gone their separate ways. “I still love him and he says he still loves me and we are still engaged — as far as I know,” she said. Meanwhile X Factor supremo Cowell has already deployed his lawyers to warn photographers to give him privacy while lapping up the Caribbean sun. The 51-year-old TV star is also said to have been stung for £100 in duty charges to bring a stack of his favourite beers on holiday.
