Police get bikes to fight crime
Donation came from Carreras Group
THE police were given a boost in their crime fighting efforts today with the donation of six motorbikes from the Carreras Group.
The handing over event was held at the Police Commissioner’s Office in St Andrew.
“The motor bikes will be a major boost in our crime fighting efforts,” Police Commissioner Owen Ellington said.
Police personnel have been out in their numbers recently — on bikes, bicycles and even on horseback — as they seek to protect shoppers in this busy holiday season.
