The R&B star, who duetted with Justin Timberlake on single Love Sex Magic in 2009 is a huge fan of thigh-high boots, having worn them to various events including the Betsey Johnson fashion show during New York Fashion Week in September. She recently admitted to spending $11,000 a month on shoes, adding: ‘When I go shopping, my most extravagant purchases are normally going to be shoes,” she told Pride.

They were revealed by Forbes magazine to be the highest earning couple of the past year and Jay-Z and Beyonce are now set to be the biggest earners on New Year’s Eve, too. The mega mogul Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, has signed up to perform at the the lavish launch party for the new Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino in Las Vegas kicking off on December 31. And according to reports, he is being paid a staggering $1million for the occasion. His wife of two years, Beyoncé is also said to be making an appearance but is not, as yet confirmed to actually perform. The event, which is taking place inside the brand-new 2,995-bedroom hotel is being held for 2,500 invited guests. Another superstar couple who will be at the event, which marks the official opening of the $4-billion resort, is Gwyneth Paltrow and her rocker husband Chris Martin. Chris’ band Coldplay are also on the line-up at the no-expense spared extravaganza and are set to take home an equally impressing pay cheque. Gwyneth, 38, has been married to Chris for seven years and the couple have two children, six-year-old Apple and four-year-old Moses.

He is already the father to two beautiful two-year-old boys, Matteo and Valentino. But Puerto Rican-born singer Ricky Martin recently revealed that he is ready to expand his family further and is likely to adopt this time around. The 38-year-old star talked about his plans while filming a CBS Christmas special called A Home For The Holidays, which raises awareness about adoption. “Even though I started with surrogacy, adoption is probably my next step,” Martin told the TV show Extra after his performance on the show. His sons were born via a surrogate mother in August 2008. The singer talked emotionally about taking part in the show: “I had to be here as a father … 20,000 children have been beautifully impacted by this project. Adoption is beautiful. Give it a try!” When asked what he wanted for Christmas this year, the star had a very simple answer. “I just want my children to be happy. I want my children to be healthy.” Ricky revealed in March this year that he was gay after years of hiding his sexuality.
