Red Stripe launches Nuvo in Jamaica
Red Stripe has over the holiday season been agressively pushing its Nuvo Sparkling Liqueur brand in the local market.
Nuvo, distributed globally by Diageo and locally by Red Stripe, is “a lifestyle choice for trendy profiling individuals,” said Red Stripe in a press release on Friday.
“Made with premium French vodka and a touch of delicate sparkling white wine, and infused with passion fruit nectar, Nuvo will dazzle your taste buds and delight your palette.
Nuvo, the world’s first sparkling liqueur, is packaged in a gorgeous, perfume-like bottle that adds flare and décor to any occasion. Its image is one of sophistication, elegance and style,” stated the company.
Red Stripe stated that Nuvo is available in 200ml, 375ml and 750 ml at selected supermarkets, wholesales and nightclubs. The brand was launched in the United States almost two years ago.
“Our consumers already have a strong appetite for Nuvo from the social marketing websites, hip hop & R&B videos, and the multiple celebrity endorsements. In the Caribbean, Nuvo will be endorsed by Jamaican divas – Marion ‘Lady Saw’ Hall and Latifa ‘Tifa’ Brown. Consumers will be captivated by the innovative displays that support Nuvo in the outlet, and eagerly grab their bottles for the festive season,” added Red Stripe.
Red Stripe is owned by multinational alcoholic beverage company Diageo. The company earlier this month announced that it was aggresively looking towards increasing its presence in the local spirits market and appointed Safia Cooper to take charge of its Scotch, Reserve and Liqueur portfolio in Jamaica.
Cooper expressed excitement in having Nuvo available to Jamaican consumers.
“We are elated that we could offer this premium sparkling liqueur to our consumers just in time for the holidays. Additionally to it being a great gift, it has a taste that will tantalize the palette, a taste experience like none other,” said Cooper.
