‘Robin took me for half of everything’

Sean Penn lifts the lid on financial settlement of divorce

When they finally divorced last summer details of a financial settlement were not disclosed. But Sean Penn has revealed that he had to split his fortune with his former wife Robin Wright right down the middle. During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 50-year-old actor disclosed details of the financial settlement with Robin. He said: “I had just got taken for one half of everything I had in the divorce, so it’s not like I don’t have to work.” The Academy Award winner was discussing his charity work in Haiti when he made the revelations and said that the divorce hit him harder than moving to the disaster zone. He professed: “A much more profound change in life for me personally was not being able to raise my son in a whole family through high school.” The Milk actor spent most of 2010 helping to rebuild Haiti following the devastation of the January 12 earthquake. Sean Penn and Robin Wright finally ended their 14-year marriage last year. The couple’s marriage has been an on-again, off-again affair. Forrest Gump star Wright, 44, filed for divorce in August 2009, the third time the couple petitioned to either separate or divorce. Penn and Wright share custody of their 17-year-old son, Hopper Jack. They also have a 19-year-old daughter, Dylan. Penn and Wright started dating in the early 1990s, after the actor’s high-profile divorce from Madonna.

Little Fockers star Dustin Hoffman paid $7.5m for five days’ work

Actor Dustin Hoffman is said to have been been paid $7.5 million for just five days’ work on the box office hit Little Fockers. The Oscar-winning star was able to negotiate the bumper payday after being asked to re-shoot some of his scenes. He was able to get the massive pay deal as other stars in the hit comedy film were paid millions for their roles. Stars Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro were paid a reported $20 million to reprise their roles in the third of the films centering on the Focker family. Veteran star Hoffman,73, plays Focker’s father-in-law in the film which has topped the US box office despite being savaged by critics. “Universal decided on a reshoot at the last minute, and Hoffman’s character was needed for some new scenes,” a source told the New York Post. They couldn’t originally agree on terms with Hoffman, so for the reshoot he could basically name his price – which was $7.5 million for five days’ work.’ According to the Post, De Niro and Stiller were the highest paid on the film. Owen Wilson and Barbara Streisand were able to negotiate salaries of $7 million while Jessica Alba was paid $3 million.

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves enjoy sun, sea and smooches in Brazil

After four years and two children together, it looks as if Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves’ relationship is going from strength to strength. The couple are currently on holiday in Trancoso, Brazil, with son Levi, two, and daughter Vida, one. And judging by their very open affection on the beach this week, they’re more in love than ever. Wearing a tiny two-piece bikini, 28-year-old Camila looked curvy yet toned as she played in the surf and shared kisses with Matthew, 41. Meanwhile the Tropic Thunder star showed off his impressive physique in a black T-shirt and black shorts, and took his shirt off at one point to take a dip in the sea with his model girlfriend. The actor recently opened up about his domestic life with Brazilian native Camila, and revealed that he loves being in the kitchen.
