FLEXXIN with…Miss Kitty

MISS Kitty (the fluffy diva), born Khadine Hylton is well-known for her outgoing personality and her pragmatic viewpoints.

A past student of Merl Grove High School and University of the West Indies, where she studied Literatures in English, Miss Kitty, has been in the media industry for eight years and has worked with the likes of ZIP 103 FM, Nationwide FM and RJR 94 FM.

Miss Kitty recently flexxed with TEENage Observer in the studios of her show, Ruption, which airs every Monday to Friday at 2:00 to 5:00 pm on RJR 94 FM. Accompanied by deejay Ju-Ju Royal, the show takes an entertainment-based family show approach.

“My show is like old school meets new school,” she said. “It covers every demographic and each day you have a different segment so as to please everyone.”

As a very driven individual, one will always find her working. She takes great pride in achieving the best and she always makes an effort to do each task better than the one before.

“I never say I am 100 per cent where I want to be, because then I will get complacent,” she said. When not on the job, Khadine likes to relax, whether it be at the beach or at home.

The Digicel brand ambassador not only focuses on her inner spirit, but always ensures her outer apearance is taken care of. A lover of fashion, she always tries to remix the current trends so they can be up to her standards. As she puts it “fabulosity is a must”.

She acknowledges and is grateful for the support that she has got from TEENagers islandwide. Knowing the pressures they face on a regular basis, her advice to them is to just simply respect and love yourself. “Be the best that you can be and just strive,” she added.

When asked about her directions for the future, Miss Kitty told TEENage that she hopes to grow in her job. She is currently working on a television show and will be coming out with a clothing line soon.
