Flow’s new Columbus Business Solutions ready for action
FLOW has unveiled to members of corporate Jamaica and the public sector its latest suite of business solutions.
Columbus Business Solutions (CBS) was launched on March 17 at the Wyndham Hotel in Kingston, with guests getting a preview of business solutions the company said is set to revolutionise efficiency and economies of scale in Jamaican business operations.
Michele English, President and Chief Operations Officer of Flow discussed the potential impact of Columbus Business Solutions, outlining benefits such as reduced cost of business travel and international call costs, derived from supported video conferencing.
“Columbus Business Solutions will affect all aspects of business and social life in Jamaica. The new data capacities offered to large and small entities in Jamaica will help to enable increased productivity as a nation. Columbus offers even greater connectivity and opens the door for advance solutions as telemedicine to reach rural areas,” English noted.
The Wyndham Ballroom was transformed into a cyber showcase of the latest world-class services and ICT solutions, including the latest innovations in IP surveliance and Unified Communications.
Niall Sheely, vice-president of the newly formed Columbus Business Solutions introduced the suite of business applications, including remote web surveillance, supported by an extensive network which spans the Caribbean and Latin America.
The launch was attended by local executives such as Jampro president Sancia Templar; Chairman of the GraceKennedy Business Technology Council Gregg Peters; former Technology Minister Phillip Paulwell; Commissioner of Customs Danville Walker; Guardsman Group chairman Kenny Benjamin alongside a prestigious group of international executives.
The proceedings were steered by a virtual MC who oversaw the hi-tech affair, via digital screen, and video demonstrations.
