Bottom teams battle to avoid relegation
GRANVILLE, St James – The struggle against relegation from the Jamaica Football Federation’s Captain’s Bakery and Grill Western Confederation Super League will continue this Sunday when the return round continues with a full slate of matches.
With Cousin’s Cove of Hanover and Exidos of Trelawny already condemned to the drop, a number of other teams led by Westmoreland’s Russia FC will be hoping they can avoid that fate.
Russia is in 10th place in the league on 15 points and will play away to former champions Granville at Sam Sharpe Teachers College.
St James’ Tomorrow’s People in ninth place on 22 points will visit Harmony at Bounty Hall.
Seba United who were crowned champions two weeks ago with four games still to be played will be home to Catherine Hall at Jarrett Park while second placed Wadadah who went down to Mt Pelier 1-0 on Sunday will face Cousin’s Cove at Green Island High.
